What a Website Costs in South Tyrol: Real 2026 Prices, Honestly

A professional website in South Tyrol usually costs between EUR 1,500 and EUR 8,000, depending on pages, languages, and features. Here are the real market ranges, what drives the price up, and how I price my own work: one fixed price up front, paid at the end.

A professional website in South Tyrol usually costs somewhere between EUR 1,500 and EUR 8,000, depending on how many pages, languages, and features you need. A simple one-page site sits at the low end. A multilingual business site with proper SEO sits in the middle. An online shop starts higher. Below are the real market ranges, and how I price my own work.

The honest ranges

I pulled these figures from German, Italian, and Romanian agency price pages and market overviews published in 2025 and 2026, including Statista web-design data for Italy. Everything is quoted in euro so you can compare across all four markets. These are what the market charges, not my own numbers. My pricing comes further down.

  • Simple brochure or one-page site: around EUR 500 to 1,500. German and Italian agencies quote roughly this range for a few pages with a standard design.
  • Multilingual business site with custom design and SEO: around EUR 2,500 to 8,000. Statista puts the average Italian business site near EUR 4,500, with a median around EUR 3,200; German market overviews land near EUR 6,000 for mid to higher requirements.
  • Online shop: around EUR 2,000 to 20,000 and up. A simple shop from a freelancer starts near EUR 2,000 to 5,000, an established agency shop runs EUR 5,000 to 20,000, and fully custom builds go far higher.
  • Do-it-yourself builders (Wix, Jimdo, Squarespace): around EUR 10 to 40 per month, so EUR 120 to 500 per year, that you keep paying for as long as the site is live.
  • Ongoing maintenance, if someone else handles it: often EUR 50 to 500 per month once you take security and updates seriously.

Romanian agencies sit a little lower: presentation sites from about EUR 500 to 2,000, online shops from about EUR 1,000 upward. The useful takeaway across every market is that 'a website' is not one product, so no single number can be right until someone asks what you actually need.

What drives the price up

Two sites can both be 'a website' and still cost five times apart. Here is what actually moves the number.

  • Number of pages. Five pages is not fifty. Every page needs layout, content, and testing.
  • Languages. In South Tyrol you usually want German and Italian, often English too. Each language is more content, more proofreading, and the technical work to send Google the right version.
  • An online shop. Payments, products, stock, tax, and shipping rules turn a website into software. That is a different order of work.
  • Custom features. Booking calendars, member logins, a menu that syncs, a link to your till or your PMS. Anything beyond standard pages adds real hours.
  • Content. If you have text and photos ready, we move fast. If they need writing and shooting, that is part of the cost, yours or mine.
  • Maintenance and hosting. Someone has to keep it fast, secure, and online. On a rented platform you pay monthly forever; on a site you own, that cost is small and predictable.

Where the South Tyrol grant fits in

If you run a micro-business in South Tyrol, part of this cost is not really your cost. The Province runs a digitalisation grant that reimburses a share of eligible costs for building or improving a website, a shop, or your SEO. I will not quote a rate here, because the exact percentages and caps change with each programme notice. I wrote a separate note on this site that works through the grant math and the application steps in full. Verify the current figures on CIVIS.bz.it before you budget.

How I price it

I do things differently from a price list. There is no menu on this site, because no two projects are the same and I would rather quote your project than a stranger's average. Here is how it works.

  • One full price, up front. Before I build anything, you get a single fixed price for the whole project. No hourly meter, no surprise line items at the end.
  • You pay at the end. You see the finished site working before money changes hands, not a mockup, the real thing on a real address.
  • No subscriptions to me. The site is yours. There is no monthly fee flowing to me to keep it alive.
  • Your own server is included. I host it on European infrastructure I set up for you, fast and in your control, not rented space you never really own.

You are not buying my hours. You are buying a site that works, at one price, and you only pay once it does.

So the honest answer to 'what does a website cost in South Tyrol' is this: less than you fear if you own it, more than a template if you want it to actually work, and a fixed number I can give you within a day of hearing what you need. Tell me about your business and I will send back one price, no obligation.
